Residential
No.1 Queens Bridge
Chapter 01 / Overview
Landmark Living
for Southbank
No.1 Queens Bridge is a defining residential tower rising above the Yarra River at Southbank, Melbourne's most celebrated cultural and lifestyle precinct. Designed by award-winning architects Elenberg Fraser, the tower sets a new benchmark for inner-city living with its sculptural form, considered materiality, and uncompromising attention to detail.
Positioned at the gateway to the CBD, No.1 Queens Bridge offers residents an address of genuine distinction. Every residence has been conceived to maximise light, outlook, and connection to the city below, a place where architecture and lifestyle converge with quiet precision.
PDG brings four decades of Melbourne development expertise to this landmark project, delivering a building that will define the Southbank skyline for generations to come.
Chapter 02 / Design
Architecture
as Identity
Elenberg Fraser's design for No.1 Queens Bridge draws from the fluid geometry of the Yarra River, translating its movement into a tower form of remarkable sculptural presence. The facade responds to solar orientation and view corridors, creating a building that reads differently from every angle.
The material palette is restrained and precise: warm stone, brushed metal, and floor-to-ceiling glazing that frames the city as a living artwork. Interiors are conceived as calm, considered spaces with generous proportions, natural light, and finishes selected for longevity rather than trend.
Every detail, from the lobby sequence to the rooftop amenity, has been designed to reinforce a single idea: that great architecture is not decoration, but the careful organisation of space, light, and material.
Chapter 03 / Community
A Place
to Belong
No.1 Queens Bridge is more than a collection of residences. It is a vertical community designed for the way people live today. Amenity spaces have been curated to foster connection without imposing it: a residents' lounge, private dining, wellness facilities, and landscaped terraces that offer respite above the city.
The ground plane activates the public realm, with retail and hospitality at street level drawing residents and visitors into a shared experience of place. The building's relationship to Queens Bridge Street and the Yarra River foreshore creates a new civic moment for Southbank.
PDG's commitment to community extends beyond the building itself. Through partnerships with local artists, cultural institutions, and the City of Melbourne, No.1 Queens Bridge contributes to the ongoing story of Southbank as one of the world's great urban precincts.
